BrainyBara is a place where children grow strong in both mind and heart. Our mission is to help every child discover their own strengths and their ability to understand and change the world. At BrainyBara, children explore the richness of science and the beauty of art, and experience the power of friendship, collaboration and support. We run lively online and in-person classes that prepare students for exams and olympiads, as well as camps for children and their families and specialised science labs and creative events for kids and teens in Israel and around the world. Most importantly, we know how to turn “boring” subjects into something genuinely engaging — for any age and any level.
Theo is the lead teacher in mathematics and natural sciences. Educator and mentor, and the smartest capybara in the room.
JANE
Course instructor and programme designer in mathematics, science and art.
e are a community of independent teachers and educators who believe that education can become a way of life for every child. We know that science, art, history and mathematics are not separate subjects, but different ways of having a dialogue with the world.
Our mission is to help every child discover their own superpower — the mindset of a true thinker who can change the world for the better. We offer a variety of different learning approaches:
year-round online and offline courses in various subjects
special preparation courses for exams and olympiads
thematic camps
unique events in Israel and around the world.

who are we
About Us
Jane have an academic background in mathematics, architecture and physics, graduated from an art school with honours. For more than eight years I have been helping teenagers and adults prepare for admission to top universities. I worked in data science and then moved on to organising educational programmes and camps for children and teenagers. In my teaching I aim to combine clear structure with a sense of comfort. I believe learning is most effective when it brings joy. With every student I try to see their unique talent and help them develop courage and confidence. I love art, culture and the exact sciences and enjoy sharing this passion with others.
Theo graduate of the Faculty of Physics at Moscow State University, with further studies in education at Harvard University. For over ten years I’ve been helping children and adults understand and fall in love with mathematics, physics, astronomy and biology. I prepare students for Olympiads and entrance exams to top universities around the world, inspire them to make discoveries and believe that education should feel like a living adventure. It is important to me that my students feel confident and are not afraid to make mistakes. I always try to offer support and show how science is connected to real life. I’m good at making complex ideas feel clear and accessible. I love science, music and travel.
Wonderful team and a great project! My daughter really enjoys Theo’s math classes. They cover several topics each lesson, and because the group is small, every student gets a chance to participate and be seen.

“Does homework without reminders!”
My main criteria were a personalized approach, a modern mindset, and real development — not just “drilling” for exams. My son studies math, looks forward to every lesson, and does his homework without any reminders. Theo assigns homework and motivates the child to actually do it, which is incredibly important. There’s no need for me to chase, track, or pressure him.

“Our 13-year-old daughter loved math for the first time in 6 years”
Theo is a wonderful teacher. Thanks to him, our 13-year-old daughter started to love math again — for the first time in six years. In less than a year, Theo helped her develop real interest in the subject, and she went from an average student to an advanced one. She is now in 9th grade, but attends 10th-grade level math (5 units). We’ve paused lessons for now because school workload is heavy and Nastya is fully coping — thanks to last year’s work with Theo. When it’s time to prepare for the Bagrut, we will definitely come back to Theo.

“We truly feel incredibly lucky!”
I wanted to leave a review too. My son loves math and has been studying with Theo Spiro since the start of this school year. What matters most to us is an individualized approach, and a teacher who is genuinely invested — both in the learning process and in the results. We truly feel incredibly lucky!

“He shares his discoveries with us!”
We highly, highly recommend Theo! He’s sensitive, attentive, and follows the child’s interests. Our boy is hard to keep focused, but with Theo he studies with real joy — and then shares his discoveries with us. It turns out math can actually be interesting!

“He finds tasks that feel relevant and genuinely interesting.”
My girls aren’t big fans of math or lessons in general, but classes with Theo Spiro are always a pleasant event for them. He manages to choose tasks that are both relevant and engaging, making it exciting to learn and practise new skills. Theo creates a friendly atmosphere and wins over even the shyest kids. Math becomes more approachable and easier to understand.

“He explains everything very clearly.”
Theo has been teaching my son math for several months now. He explains everything very clearly. My son is a top student in math — he solves problems easily and even helps his classmates. He loves lessons with Theo, never misses them, and does his homework with pleasure. I highly recommend him — a very kind and calm teacher!

“An incredibly strong teaching methodology.”
Theo is wonderful — I would even say an outstanding educator. And I don’t think it’s only natural talent (though he definitely has that too). It’s his exceptionally strong methodological foundation: he truly understands how people learn. Honestly, I feel it doesn’t even matter which subject you study with Theo — it will work! Yasha (12) sends Theo a huge hello and agrees with everything 😊

Educational Camp
Programs from a few days to a few weeks during school breaks. Kids will have a great time, make new friends, and learn something new.
Local Camp
We run family trips abroad where kids dive into nature, science, and art — while parents get real time to relax. Also offer kids-only residential camps, where children come on their own and are fully supported by our team throughout the session
e believe that every person deserves the chance to learn, grow and be inspired — regardless of their circumstances. Our goal is to build a supportive community where children can access educational opportunities that were previously out of reach. We also invite everyone who wishes to take part in or support this initiative.
If your child is curious about science, art, technology, or other fields — but your family is facing financial hardship — please reach out. We especially want to support children who lack inspiring adults, a community of like-minded peers, and meaningful social connection. We offer need-based discounts and full scholarships for:
children from low-income families
single-parent families and families going through difficult circumstances
children in rehabilitation / recovery programs
children supported by charitable organizations
motivated children in remote areas with limited access to quality education
If you’d like to be part of this initiative, you can:
Become a monthly donor to support the program regularly
Offer your time as a volunteer
Contribute resources or explore a partnership
Every contribution is a chance to change someone’s life.
e love creating real celebrations — warm, joyful, a little magical, with science, creativity, and storytelling — the kind people remember for a long time. For kids, teens, and their parents. In a park, at home, or in a venue — anywhere you want to celebrate together.

Celebrations
We host birthdays and events in Russian, English, and Hebrew.
Duration: from 30 minutes to 3 hours.
You tell us who’s coming, where and when it’s happening, and what the birthday child (or group) loves. We’ll suggest ideas, talk through the details, and build a clear plan and budget — transparent, thoughtful, and warm. A celebration to remember! Message us — we’ll be happy to organize everything.
Immersive quests, mini-performances, and exciting adventures where kids become the main characters. Parents and guests can join as characters too — if they want! The quest can happen at home or in a park, for a birthday or just for fun. We’ll prepare everything: the storyline, roles, challenges, and activities — tailored to your child’s interests and your budget.
We draw, sculpt, make decorations, pour candles, decorate gingerbread cookies, create slime, and make giant soap bubbles — every child will be able to make something on their own, and for some it might spark a brand-new interest.
Festive chemistry and physics experiments, magic tricks, (safe) “explosions,” bubbles, stories about the universe, and mysterious substances. Safe, bright, and truly educational!
We build robots, launch mechanisms, and solve challenges — all in a fun, festive atmosphere.
We make delicious treats together — from signature desserts to beautifully decorated cupcakes. Eat them right away or wrap them as a gift.
